I had been doing photography for several years, and wanted to break into a new niche. I had been doing children and family portraits for years and to be honest, I was getting burnt out. This type of photography was not giving me back what I needed from it. It was a job, and it can be dangerous to turn your passions into work, especially when you struggle with boundaries. I needed something new and exciting. There was a woman in our little mountain town doing exciting things. She had a clothing brand, was opening businesses and creating jobs. This is how I met Jen, who ended up being an incredible and inspiring friendship.
Jen is a larger than life person who has lived more than most. Her incredible stories and no BS attitude taught me to ask for the things I want, stand up for myself, not sweat the small stuff and take chances. I will be forever grateful for the people and experiences she brought into my life. I walked into her western clothing shop to introduce myself and offer my photography services, and the rest is history. From styled western shoots on her ranch, to staying in incredible homes and sitting around bonfires with famous skateboarders, Jen made my world a little bit bigger, at a time when I was feeling very small. Jen believed in me and gave me the confidence I needed, probably without knowing it. These are some of the images I have captured for Bandit Brand. Shout out to this incredible model as well, who is an absolute sweet heart.
